How Much Do Your Organs Cost?
Posted by in Organ DonationOrgan transplantation is usually needed when a part of the body of sick person no longer has the capacity to perform its function and leaving it in place would only result to further deterioration of the body and could lead to fatal situation. If you are the patient or a family member of the patient, you would want someone to donate his organ/s to you. People have the instinct to survive and this include organ donation or transplantation.
Donating your organs to those who are really in need of them seems a very heroic act. You give the chance to someone to extend their life so that he could live more and be with his loved ones longer. This extension could also be used to correct mistakes and ask for forgiveness to those who have been wronged. But much as organ donation seems to be a heroic act, there is always more to that.
In the usual setting, a sibling or any family member is the donor of the organ. But there are instances where family members are not compatible with the patient so an outsider donor is needed and paid for his organ. Most donors, who are not family members, donate organ for the monetary payment. They even only have little knowledge on what they going in to. What they know is that they would give their organ and be paid for it, but in terms of what untoward effects that could happen to them, they know little or none. To them what is important is that they would still be alive after donating their organ.
Yes, you would be able to continue living after the donation. That is just how awesome the body is. It will compensate for whatever you lost. If you would be a donor, would it be because you wanted to help or would it be because you wanted money? Are you really able to put a price for your body organs? If so, how much would they cost?
